Abstract

A study on the ways in which 'virgins' both disrupt, reinforce, and problematize the plots of Shakespeare's problematic comedies utilizing sexuality, gender, and language. These virgins include Helen within All's Well That Ends Well, Anne Page within Merry Wives of Windsor, and Rosalind within As You Like It.
