Abstract

“The widths of a few ammonia lines have been measured by a microwave spectrograph constructed for this purpose. Measurements were made by the use of source modulation with low amplitude. The effects of the frequency, amplitude, and the wave form of the source modulation have been investigated and a theoretical analysis is presented. The problem of power saturation has also been examined. The technique of modulation and detection will be discussed.”
