Abstract

A poorly stenciled 20 gallon crock is the only known piece of stoneware attributable to George Washington Brown (1842-1912), of Roseville, Ohio. Brown was known as "Little Wash," to distinguish him from his uncle, George Washington Brown (1824-1900), a prominent Roseville entrepreneur. The history of the pottery and destruction of the site is described.
