Knowledge Bank

The solar spectrograms of Migeotte and $Neven1$ have been analyzed for the $\nu 3$ fundamental of ozone. A good fit for low J is obtained with the following upper state parameters: vibrational frequency $\nu 3=1042.16cm-1$; rotational constants $A=3.502cm-1$, $B=0.4401cm-1$, $C=0.3383cm-1$.
