The absorption Spectrum of $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">12</mrow>}C\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">34</mrow>}S2$ carbon disulfide has been photographed at high resolution in the region 25500 to $29200cm-1$. Several hot bands with $K=\ell =0$ have been analyzed in the $a¯3A2-X¯1\sum g+$ system (Klerman R system) and ground state B values and vibrational constants have been determined for $V2\prime =2$ and 4. Excited $a¯3A2$ state B values and vibrational constants have been determined for $v2\prime =3,4,5$ and 6 and $v1\prime =0$ and 1. Further work on this band system as well as accompanying ones in the same spectral region is in progress.
