Utilization of laser sources in Raman spectroscopy is leading to: $\backslash begin\{enumerate\}\backslash item[a)]\; Major\; extension\; of\; the\; types\; of\; samples\; that\; can\; be\; analyzed;\; and,\; \backslash item[b)]\; Major\; improvement\; in\; the\; convenience\; of\; sampling.\backslash end\{enumerate\}$ Spectra will be shown and discussed to illustrate some of the important changes that are taking place in this field.
