Abstract

Pulse optically detected magnetic resonance can be used to study spin relaxation of localized electronic excitations. A series of isomeric benzoylpyridines was studied in which the nonbonding electrons on the nitrogen interact with localized excitation on the carbon of moiety. Distance dependence of the relaxation via nuclear spin diffusion in these molecules will be discussed.
