Knowledge Bank

The infrared spectra of $(ClBNH)3,(ClBND)3$ and $(FBNH)3$ in the gascous and solid phases and in solution were examined in the range $10000-30cm-1$. Raman spectra of the solid and dissolved samples were obtained using laser excitation. Correlations which included borazine, N-trimethylborazine and B-trichloro-N-trimethylborazine spectral data led to some new assignments. Normal coordinates treatments were carried out. Information on the structure of the bonds deducible from force constant will be discussed.
