Abstract
We overview Sub- Sahara Africa's macroeconomic performance that precipitated economic liberalization policies. Policies of nine countries are analyzed from the perspective of economic growth; especially slow growth in agriculture, stagnation in real GDP per capita, unstable real exchange rates, high debt to GDP ratios, and low debt service to GDP ratios.
