Abstract

The address of the State Street Main Building, St. Francis Hospital, was 315 East State Street. The property was bounded by East State Street on the north, Chase Alley on the east, Chapel Street on the south, and South Sixth Street on the west. Names found in Business Office reports are: State Street Buildings, State Street Dispensary, State Street Main Building, State Street Laundry and Stables, The name "State Street Free Dispensary" has also been noted. Some records in the University Architect's office refer to the Dispensary as the "Infirmary."
