Abstract
An $r_{S}$ structure determination of the pyruvic acid molecule ($CH_{3}$COCOOH) is almost complete. The microwave spectrum of this molecule is weak and highly crowded, but MW-MW double resonance experiments have made possible the assignment of the spectra of enriched isotopic species. They have also shown the presence of a rich vibrational satellite pattern accompanying each ground state transition. A preliminary analysis suggests that at least four low frequency vibrational modes are present.
