Abstract

Using asymmetric Fourier transform techniques, the rotational line strengths, and hence, the dipole moment of HCl have been measured. Our value for the dipole moment is 1.134±0.015 Debye. These data may be used with absorption data to give line widths. This work was supported, in part, by a contract between the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories and The Ohio State University Research Foundation.
