Description

Pastured woodlot near (S.W.) stop 145 on traction between Lima and Bluffton. All the trees in this view except two are dead at the top several completely so. The numerous stumps are where dead trees have been cut out. Species are white ash, oak, and beech. D.B.H. runs from 6 to 14 inches. Some 25 to 30 years ago the stand here was complete as the long slender trunks show. Pasturing has been constant and severe during this period. Item #807
