Abstract

A variety of 19th C. reed stem clay tobacco pipes are illustrated from Akron and Mogadore, Summit Co., Ohio. Several styles are attributed to the Akron firm of Baker and McMillen and can be dated between 1875 and 1893. One Akron Smoking Pipe Co. style manufactured at Mogadore can be dated precisely to 1896.
