Abstract

Rotational spectra of $ArH^{+}$ and $ArD^{+}$ were measured in a magnetically confined plasma with a tunable far-infrared laser. By separating the $\Delta M_{J} = \pm 1$ components with a quarter wave plate, the rotational g-factors were determined. Combining this data with that available from $microwave^{1}$ and infrared $spectroscopy^{2,3}$ we can evaluate the Born-Oppenheimer equilibrium internuclear separation.
