Abstract

A variety of properties connected with the transition dipole moment function are calculated in terms of the OK1 wavefunctions for Li2. Among them are the gain cross section for the 3Σg+→ 3Σu+ emission, the photodissociation cross section for the 3Σu+→ 3Πg+ transition, and certain radiative lifetimes. We find, for example, τ≃19 ns for the A1Σu+ state in grind agreement with recent measurements.2
