A variety of properties connected with the transition dipole moment function are calculated in terms of the $OK1$ wavefunctions for $Li2$. Among them are the gain cross section for the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">3</mrow>}\Sigma g+\to 3\Sigma u+$ emission, the photodissociation cross section for the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">3</mrow>}\Sigma u+\to 3\Pi g+$ transition, and certain radiative lifetimes. We find, for example, $\tau \simeq 19$ ns for the $A1\Sigma u+$ state in grind agreement with recent $measurements.2$
