Abstract

The microwave spectrum of two isotopic species of methyl difluorosilane has been observed and assigned. From these spectra the structure, dipole moment and barrier to internal rotation have been determined. Several series of Q branch lines, assigned from $J = 6$ to $J = 12$, have been observed to be split into doublets. From these splittings the barrier has been calculated to be 1220 $\pm$ 50 cal.
