Abstract

We have recorded a large number of high-resolution $(0.005 cm^{-1})$ absorption spectra in the $600-2700 cm^{-1}$ region of $O_{3}$ (generated using a natural isotopic sample of oxygen) broadened by dry air. These spectra were obtained at various temperatures between -63 and $23^{\circ} C$ using the McMath-Pirate Fourier transform spectrometer at the National Solar Observatory on Kitt Peak. Using a $multispectrum^{1,2}$ nonlinear least-squares procedure a total of 29 spectra were analyzed simultaneously to determine the broadening shift coefficient and their temperature dependences for more than 400 transitions in the $\nu_{2}$ fundamental of ${^{16}}O_{3}$. Variation of the broadening and shift coefficient with the rotational quantum number within the $\nu_{2}$ band will be discussed. These results will be compared with the values determined for the same parameters in the $\nu_{1}$ band of ${^{16}}O_{3}$.
