Abstract

This is the minutes of the Council on Academic Affairs' meeting on August 18, 2008. Daniel A. Mendelsohn and W. Randy Smith (the Chair and Vice Chair, respectively) gave comments regarding relevant updates. Mr. Robert Calhoun and Professors Jay Hobgood, Michael Ibba, and Robert Ward presented the proposal to establish a School Psychology Educational Specialist degree. Professors Daniel A. Mendelsohn and W. Randy Smith presented the proposals to create a Music Media and Enterprise minor, to create a new Clinical Investigations Graduate Specialization, to create a new Museum Education and Administration Graduate Specialization, to discontinue the graduate program in Comprehensive Vocational Education, and to establish a Dental Hygiene Honors program. W. Randy Smith introduced Jay Johnson who will serve as project manager for the semester conversion.
