Abstract

The high resolution vibration-rotation emission spectra of the 2Σ+ ground states of CaH and SrH have been recorded with a Bruker Fourier transform spectrometer. The molecules were produced in a ceramic furnace by the reaction of elemental metals with molecular hydrogen/deuterium in the presence of a DC discharge. The rotational spectra of CaH, CaD, SrH, and SrD in the ground electronic states were measured in absorption using a submillimeter spectrometer. The molecular constant including rotational, centrifugal distortion, spin-rotation interaction and the hyperfine constants were extracted from these spectra.
