Abstract

The singlet-triplet absorption of a neat oriented crystal of p-chloroaniline has been observed at 4.2K. The factor group splitting of the two allowed components of the 0-0 band at 3761\AA was found to be 2 cm−1. The high and low field Zeeman spectra have been investigated to determine the active spin states and the zero-field parameters.
