Abstract

The ν1 fundamental band of DO2 was observed using a tunable infra-red difference frequency laser. DO2 was generated by an a.c. discharge in CH3OD and O2 at a total pressure of 1 torr in a multipass, Zeeman-modulated cell. The rotational-vibrational lines, which occurred near 3.9μm (2550cm−1), were analyzed and molecular constants were determined by a least squares fit.
