Abstract

The spectra of the isotopic species $^{12}C^{13} CH_{4}$ of ethylene have been recorded between 4380 and $4650 cm^{-1}$ on our classical infrared spectrometer with a resolution of $0.035 cm^{-1}$. The absorption is essentially due to the $\nu_{5} + \nu_{1}2$ band, but a lot of resonance perturbation have led to the identification of the $\nu_{6} + 2_{8} + \nu_{12}$ and $nu_{2} + \nu_{11}$ bands. The corresponding levels are rather strongly couple by anharmonic and Coriolis interactions, so we have performed a simultaneous analysis of those four levels. The results are in statistical agreement with the experimental data.
