Abstract

Equivalent width measurements have been made on a number of individual rotational lines in the B-X system of I2. The resulting line intensities, together with computed RKR Franck-Condon factors, have been used to obtain the total Einstein transition probability ΣvAvv=1/τv1. These results will be compared with existing measurements of the direct decay by the phase-shift and pulsed excitation method.
