Abstract
The hydroxysilylene, HSiOH, and the fluorosilylene, HSiF, have been isolated in solid argon. Frequencies for all the infrared active modes of the two molecules have been accurately measured. Band assignments for trans- HSiOH, trans- and cis- HSiOD and DSiOD have been made. The SiOH bond angle has been calculated for a planar structure of
