Knowledge Bank

The infrared spectra of the gas and liquid phases of cyclobutanol, cyclobutanol-$d1$ and cyclobutanol-$d4$ have been measured from 33 to $4000cm-1$. The Raman spectra of the liquids have been recorded and depolarization values measured. Similar data have been obtained for bromocyclobutane, bromocyclobutane-$d1$ and bromocyclobutane-$d4$. Vibrational assignments and structural implications will be discussed.
