Abstract

The techniques described in the previous paper have been applied to a number of simple chiral molecules including diemethylamino-2-propanol, the allenes, adamantanone, methylcyclohexanone, etc. In order to satisfactorily explain the observed VCD spectra of some of these molecules, it seems to be necessary to extend the fixed-partial-charge model for the electro-optical properties to consider explicitly the motion of nonbonded electrons.
