Abstract
The Buck-I-Serv Guatemala service trip is focused on improving the state of living and decreasing poverty in Guatemala by building houses for the Guatemalans. This trip will address five main social justice issues: Partnerships for the Goal, Sustainable Cities and Communities, No Poverty, Good Health and Well-Being, and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. While in Guatemala we will be working with the organization Constru Casa to help build the houses, working 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. carrying supplies, mixing concrete, painting and much more. The housing included in the trip is a home stay in Antigua, Guatemala, where all participants will be lodging together. The Buck-I-Serv Guatemala program is a seven-day trip that will take place over Winter Break 2019 in Antigua, Guatemala. The trips total cost is $2,200 and includes transportation to and from Guatemala, transportation while in the country, housing, and most meals.
