Abstract

Description

High resolution studies have been carried out on the $2_{2,1}-2_{2,0}$ transition of the HDS molecule, which occurs at about 11,284 Mc. A beam maser spectrometer, analogous to the original $NH_{2}$ maser, was employed. Analysis of the hyperfine components affords a determination of the guadrupole coupling constant of the deuteron, as well as the spin-rotation constants, of the form $I\cdot J$
