Abstract

The microwave spectrum of OXeF4 was observed for two oxygen and five xenon isotopic species. Previous evidence for a symmetric top molecule with C4v symmetry was corroborated. Rough structural parameters for the molecule are: r(Xe−O)=1.70±.05\AA,r(Xe−F)=1.95±.05\AA.∢(O−Xe−F)=91∘±2. ∗This research was made possible by support extended Harvard University by the Office of Naval Research.
