A Nazi official holds out a tin can with a slot cut in the lid, as a crowd pushes forward with outstretched arms to donate change [CMA 2001.034.415]. First-state proofs of the upper left panel [CMA 2001.034.377] were printed in grey ink. A second-state impression of the upper center panel [CMA 2001.034.337.001] was printed in pink ink. Upper and center panels [CMA 2001.034.338] which have the first three states combined also exist.
