Knowledge Bank

The vibrational spectrum of dimethylselenium difluoride and dimethyl -$d6$ selenium difluoride is reported. The spectrum is compatible with a molecular geometry of $C2$ symmetry. The fundamentals are selected from among the observed frequencies assuming $C2$, summetry. Two approximate normal coordinate calculations supporting the assignment are reported.
