Abstract

The microwave spectra of two species of imido sulfuryl fluoride have been assigned. The rotational constants (MHz) are: $HNS(O)F_{2}$, 5119.28, 4836.94, 4757.41 and $DNS(O)F_{2}$, 5003.45, 4731.34, 4557.24. The dipole moment was determined as $\mu_{a}$ = 6.655 $\pm$ 0.008D, $\mu_{b}$ = 2.343 $\pm$ 0.005D and $\mu_{T}$ = 2.433 + 0.01D. Although a unique structure cannot be determined from the data, it has been established that the species has $C_{s}$ symmetry with the HNSO group in the symmetry plane.
