Abstract
The resonance Raman spectrum of the blue $I_{2}{^{+}}$ cation in highly acidic solvents has been obtained with the He-Ne laser wavelengths of 6328 and $6118 {\AA}$. The fundamental Stokes line at $240 cm^{-1}$ was accompanied by at least four overtones. The variations of the intensities of the fundamental and overtones with the exciting frequency and with concentration will be described.
