Abstract

In our plasma spectroscopic sean for $CH_{2}D^{+}$ and $CHD_{2}^{+}$, many, spectral lines of $H_{2}D^{-}$ and $HD^{+}_{2}$ were strongly observed in the $CD_{4}$-$CH_{4}$-$H_{2}$-He discharge, although the chemistry was optimized for the detection of deuterated hydrocarbons. We have extended the assignments of the $v_{1}$ band of $H_{2}D^{+1}$ and $HD_{2}^{+2}$, in the region from $2950 cm^{-1}$ to $3240cm^{-1}$. Both were fitted to the Watson A-reduced Hamiltonian, with rotational and quartic centrifugal distortion constants. Correction of the previous $H_{2}$$D^{+}$ assignment of $3068.702cm^{-1}$ from 5$_{15} \leftarrow$ $4_{14}$ to $5_{05} \leftarrow$ $4_{04}$ substantially improved the fit.
