Abstract
It has been postulated that redundancy in the genetic code possesses characteristics of an algebraic rotational group. The elements of such a group consist of the possible representations of the codons which code for the various amino acids. Studies indicate that redundancy affects protein synthesis---the basic process in biological growth. An attempt will be made to demonstrate the group properties of genetic code redundancy.
