The absolute line strengths of the $3\nu 1+2\nu 2+\nu 3$ band of $CO2$ at $7734cm-1$ have been measured with a resolution of about $0.05cm-1$. Individual line strengths were determined by measurements of the equivalent widths. Pressures varied between 40 and 200 Torr and absorption path-lengths from 500 to 2100 m. A White-type absorption cell with a base length of 25 m was used together with a 5 m Czerny-Turner spectrograph. These measurements are needed for the determination of Ar in the Martian atmosphere.
