Abstract
Arnon Reichers describes her career and activist role during her time at Ohio State University. She was hired in the fall of 1982 as an Assistant Professor in the College of Business, in the Department of Management and Human Resources. Reichers and Deb Ballam discuss their roles in changing the way women in the College of Business were treated. In particular, Reichers and Ballam describe the hardships and discrimination they faced during their work to create a "chilly climate" report, which highlighted the negative environment for women in the College of Business. The "chilly climate" report sparked university-wide lunches among women faculty, staff, and students, to discuss the climate for women at Ohio State, and led to the creation of the Women's Grassroots Network. Reichers concludes by discussing her experience teaching MBA students.
