Abstract

In 2012, the Duke University Medical Center Library and Archives (DUMCL&A) began the process of establishing a small exhibits program. This article examines the challenges of learning how to create exhibits, identifying and selecting materials for display, and documenting the policies and procedures with the goal of demonstrating that even small organizations with limited resources, funding, or experience can create compelling, attractive exhibits.
