Abstract

We present first results on the pressure broadening, in the $\nu_{14}$ band of $C_{6}H_{6}$, i.e. we investigated collisions of $C_{6}H_{6}$ and air near $1024.6 cm^{-1}$ and $1050.2 cm^{-1}$ Using autocorrelation technique for the determination of an averaged broadening coefficient we found a self broadening coefficient of $(0.13 \pm 0.01) cm^{-1}$/atm an air broadening coefficient of $(0.086 \pm 0.025) cm^{-1}$/atm for the $1024.6 cm^{-1}$ region (pp branch, $37 \leq J^{\prime\prime} \leq 43$). In the region near $1050.2 cm^{-1}$ (RR branch, $30 \leq J^{\prime\prime} \leq 38$) the air broadening coefficient is remarkably $(0.139 \pm 0.001) cm^{-1}$/atm and even larger than the self broadening coefficient is remarkably larger $(0.139 \pm 0.001) cm^{1}$/atm and even larger than the self broadening coefficient stated above. Additional we will present first result for individual line parameters using a fit algorithm.
