Abstract
Dr. Julian B. Woelfel describes his career spanning more than four decades as a College of Dentistry faculty member. Born in New York in 1925, Woelfel’s family moved to Columbus in 1937 when Woelfel was 12. He attended University School, then Ohio State University, where he received his degree in Dentistry through the Navy’s V-12 program after World War II. In his interview Woelfel describes teaching at the then-School of Dentistry, his research, innovations and publications – including numerous editions of a textbook on dental anatomy – and working with various colleagues and mentors over the years.
