Abstract
Naturally-occurring strontium was found in till samples collected along the Powell-Union City Moraine. The strontium is present in connection with celestite, an evaporite deposit and a secondary mineral in dolomite. The celestite is located in the dolomite formations of the Upper Silurian bedrock located in Western Ohio. The highest concentration of strontium is located in the very fine sand size fraction of the samples. The results of the investigation confirm the ground water studies of Feulner and Hubble.
