Abstract

The absorption spectrum of formal fluoride (HFCO) has been obtained in the 1040 - 2700 {\AA} spectral region using a synchrotron radiation continuum source, a one-meter vacuum monochromator, and photon counting detection equipment. Multiconfiguration self-consistent field ab initio calculations Of HFCO vertical excitation energies1 are being used to aid the assignment of electronic transitions.
