The front and back of a 1930s group photo postcard of Chafetz's paternal family members from Lithuania. It is addressed to Chafetz's father in Yiddish, with a message that the artist loosely translated as "to remember, the gift of good news from each one to the other and have joy, and look at us with open eyes. From your father Kalman Chafetz." The only English text is an address, "119 State Street," likely written by a postal worker in Providence, Rhode Island. The print was reproduced on the 1983 Jewish Center exhibition poster and the Yiddish text appears in other prints, such as The Postcard [CMA 2001.034.227].
