Knowledge Bank

The B-type band, $2\nu 1$, of $NO2$ at $2627.376cm-1$ has been studied with resolution of $0.030cm-1$. This weak band exhibits striking intensity perturbations similar to those observed in the $2\nu 3$ band previously reported. The P aide of $2\nu 1$ is very such weaker than the R side of the band; moreover, on the P side of the band, only and line series are observed. The series are conspicuously missing. The stronger R side of the band consists only of very strong series and weaker series. branch lines are observed for $K>3$. Upper state rotational and spin splitting constants will be reported.
