Abstract

In the region $2090 - 3090 cm^{-1},$ spectra of the $2\nu_{2},\nu_{1} and \nu_{3}$ bands of $D_{2}O$ and of the $2\nu_{2}$ and $\nu_{1}$ bands of HDO recorded on a Fourier transform spectrometer with a resolution of about 5 $\times 10^{3}$ $cm^{-1}$, have been analyzed. The analysis of 2300 lines for $D_{2}O$ and 1900 for HDC has allowed us to determine precise experimental energy levels (up to J = 19 and $K_{a}$ = 10)for the (C00), (C20), (100)and (001) Vibrational states of $D_{2}O$ and for the (00c), (02c) and (10c) Vibrational states of HDO. The rotational constants for the ground states of these 2 molecules have been obtained by performing a least squares fit of our infrared levels and of the existing microwave transitions. Moreover the rotational levels of the triad [(020),(100),(001)] of $D_{2}O$ have been reproduced using an hamiltonian which takes explicitly into account the Coriolis and Fermi interactions.
