Abstract
Oka detected the infrared absorption spectrum of ${H^{+}}_{3}$ in a hydrogen discharge using a difference frequency $laser.^{1}$ In similar experiments, We report the observation of the $HeH^{+}, ^{20}NeH^{+}$ and $^{22}NeH^{+}$ fundamental vibration-rotation bands of the $X^{1}\Sigma^{+}$ state. Some of the Observed molecular constants are $(in cm^{-1}, 3\sigma uncertainties)$: $\begin{array}{rccccc} &\upsilon_{0} & B_{0} & D_{0} & B_{1} & D_{1}\\ \hline HeH^{+} & 2910.9568(19) & 33.55841(63) & 0.016210(37) & 30.83991(54) & 0.015869(31)\\ ^{20}NeH^{+} & 2677.8564(13) & 17.33821(28) & 0.002692(15) & 16.25525(33) & 0.002669(17)\\ ^{22}NeH^{+} & 2672.4971(15) & 17.26369(32) & 0.002664(19) & 16.18774(41) & 0.002641(20)\\ \hline \end{array}$ The possibility of astrophysical detection of $HeH^{+}$ will be discussed.
