Abstract

Recently, the microwave spectrum of methyl hydroperoxide $(CH_{3}OOH)$ has been reported (1). The energy difference between the lowest vibrational states, $O^{+}$ and $O^{-}$, was estimated to be around $15 cm^{-1}$ In order to determine an accurate Hamiltonian for $CH_{3}OOH$ we are presently investigating the millimeter- and submillimeterwave spectrum. Results for interstate transitions between 100 GHz and the band-center at 448.7 GHz will be presented.
