Recently, the microwave spectrum of methyl hydroperoxide $(CH3OOH)$ has been reported (1). The energy difference between the lowest vibrational states, $O+$ and $O-$, was estimated to be around $15cm-1$ In order to determine an accurate Hamiltonian for $CH3OOH$ we are presently investigating the millimeter- and submillimeterwave spectrum. Results for interstate transitions between 100 GHz and the band-center at 448.7 GHz will be presented.
