Abstract
Raman active vibrational modes originating in lithium ion motion were previously identified by isotopic substituation in $LiKSO_{4}$ and ${LiNaSO_{4}}^{1}$. These modes are observed to dramatically broaden with increasing temperature; however, the bandwidth of each of these modes goes through a maximum and then decreases over a small temperature interval. The bandwidth then increases as the temperature further increases. This behavior is discussed in terms of several postulated mechanisms. (1982).
