Abstract
Hyperfine splittings in the electron-spin-resonance spectra of $^{93}$Nb atoms + $H_{2}/D_{2}$ in argon, krypton, and deuterium matrices 2-4K indicate that the NbH$2/NbD$2 molecule is being observed. However, the spectra indicate that the molecule has a doublet ground state, and if bent, it must be rotating in the solids. $Theory^{1}$ favors a $^{4}B_{1}$ ground The hyperfine splittings and g values will be discussed in terms of molecular structure and bonding.
